How do I get to Klipkopje Farm?

Klipkopje Farm is located just outside White River town in Mpumalanga, approximately 25 minutes from Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (MQP) and around 4½ hours' drive from Johannesburg.

The final stretch to the farm is along a well-maintained dirt road. Most standard vehicles can comfortably access the property, however exceptionally low vehicles are not recommended. During periods of heavy rainfall, a higher-clearance vehicle may be advisable.

Detailed directions will be sent prior to your arrival.

What should I pack?

We encourage you to pack light — you'll be surprised by how little you need.

Your tent is fully equipped with luxurious linens, towels, bathroom amenities, a hairdryer, torches and everything required for a comfortable stay.

We recommend bringing:

• Comfortable clothing

• Walking shoes

• Swimwear for the dam

• A warm jersey or jacket for cooler evenings

• Your favourite book

• A portable speaker if you'd like to enjoy music during your stay

• Any groceries you'd like during your visit

There are no wardrobes in the bedrooms, so a small overnight bag or carry-on with your essentials is all you'll need.

Each stay includes exclusive use of the luxury tent and access to the surrounding farm.

Is the tent self-catering?

Yes.

The tent is fully equipped for self-catering.

Woolworths and Checkers are approximately 15 minutes away in White River, making it easy to stock up before or during your stay.

Is there Wi-Fi?

No, there is no Wi-Fi at the tent.

Klipkopje was intentionally created as a place to slow down and reconnect with nature. Here, mornings begin with birdsong, days unfold at a gentler pace, and evenings are best spent around the fire beneath a sky full of stars.

Should you need to check in with family or take an important call, there is good mobile signal across most of the farm.

What can we do during our stay?

Klipkopje Farm is a place to reconnect with nature and embrace a slower pace.

Spend your days:

• Walking on the farm

• Swimming in the Longmere Dam

• Watching the resident impala, zebra, blesbok, ducks and Egyptian geese

• Birdwatching

• Reading on the deck

• Cooking over the fire

• Watching spectacular sunsets

• Sitting around the firepit beneath a canopy of stars

Or simply do nothing at all.

Are children welcome?

We warmly welcome families to experience the magic of Klipkopje Farm together. For the comfort and safety of all our guests, we recommend that children staying at the tent are 12 years and older.

The tent and its surroundings have been thoughtfully designed to immerse guests in nature rather than to be child-proof. As a working farm, there are natural features to be mindful of, including open water, elevated decks, stairs leading to the fire pit, uneven terrain and free-roaming wildlife.

Children under the age of 18 must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times while exploring the farm and using the facilities.

Can I bring my pet?

As much as we love animals, we kindly ask that you leave your furry children at home.

Klipkopje is home to a wonderful community of free-roaming wildlife and farm animals, and we want to ensure they remain safe, undisturbed and free to roam.

Is Klipkopje Farm suitable year-round?

Absolutely.

Each season offers something unique.

Summer brings warm days perfect for swimming in the dam, while winter offers crisp mornings, misty landscapes, cosy fires and peaceful evenings beneath the stars.

Is the farm private?

Yes.

The luxury tent is completely private and positioned to make the most of the surrounding landscape.

While Klipkopje is a working farm, your accommodation has been thoughtfully positioned to provide complete seclusion and uninterrupted views across the dam and surrounding countryside.

How many guests can the tent accommodate?

The luxury tent comfortably accommodates up to four guests.

Check-in is from 2:00 pm.

What wildlife can I expect to see?

Klipkopje is home to an abundance of wildlife and birdlife.

Resident animals include impala, zebra, blesbok, Egyptian geese, ducks, ponies, donkeys, peacocks and many other bird species that roam freely across the farm.

Wildlife sightings vary from day to day, making every visit unique.
